"This year's Stubblefield Family Reunion will be held on June 22, 2002 for the descendants of Robert Stubblefield and his two wives Elizabeth Kirkham and Elizabeth Kennedy.
In the 1800's three of their children came west; William Kirkam Stubblefield(in 1884), Thomas Jefferson Stubblefield(in 1878), and James Jasper Stubblefield(who led the way in 1861). They all settled in Union and Wallowa Counties of Eastern Oregon. Many descendants still live in the area.
We have a lot of information on descendants of these men, and also some on their sister Nancy who settled in Washington in the late 1880's, or early 1890's. Our Descendant Report from Robert's parents Wyatt now contain over 4000 names.
The meeting will be held in the Community Connection next door to the Wallowa County Fairgrounds on Hwy 3 to Lewiston, ID. We will set up by 9:00am and stay as long as folks are still interested. Pot Luck Lunch at noon, and group pictures right after that.
Enterprise is at the foot of the Wallowa Mountains - Oregon's Alps -which in the 15 years we have been going, have never been without snow. There is a cable-car that takes you to the top where the view is terrific I'm told. Lots to do in the area - and lots of history.
